Jules Scogna tosses two-hitter as Rams claim first state softball title
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Jules Scogna tossed a complete-game, two-hitter to lead Spring-Ford to a 5-0 victory over Seneca Valley on Friday afternoon in the Pennsylvania (PIAA) Class 6A state softball championship game at Beard Field on the campus of Penn State University.
It marked the first state softball title for the Rams (24-2).
Ali Wescott led Spring-Ford offensively with three hits including a run-scoring single in the fifth inning that gave the Rams a 4-0 lead.
