There's no bigger game in college football this weekend than the match-up featuring No. 11 Texas at No. 3 Alabama.

Typically a clash like that provides the home team with the perfect backdrop for a big weekend of recruiting visits.

Unsurprisingly, Alabama and Nick Saban are taking full advantage.

One of the headliners of this weekend's list is undoubtedly Timpson (Texas) five-star athlete Terry Bussey.

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound playmaker is rated the nation's No. 15 overall prospect and No. 1 athlete, having put up video game-like numbers last fall.

As a junior, Bussey threw for 2,177 yards and 26 touchdowns, ran for 2,596 yards and 46 scores and logged 115 tackles and five interceptions (four pick-sixes) on defense with three kick returns and one punt return taken back for touchdowns.

Simply put, he was unstoppable.

This summer, Bussey trimmed his list to a group of five finalists - Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M - and set a commitment date for September 28.

This weekend is Alabama's chance to impress the do-everything superstar - and he's eager to see it up close.

"They're a great program," Bussey said. "I have good relationships with the staff and they have a great reputation of producing great athletes."

Bussey recently visited Oklahoma and will visit LSU ahead of his decision. Throughout the summer, Texas A&M was widely viewed as the team to beat.

So, it appears Alabama will have its hands full trying to secure Bussey's commitment, but that aim could take a massive step forward this weekend.

Overall, Alabama's 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 4 nationally and consists of 19 pledges - at least three commitments fewer than all three programs ahead of them in the rankings (Georgia, 26; Ohio State, 22; Florida, 22).
