Pine Island/Zumbrota Mazeppa Alp’s Jacob Niebuhr led all scorers with 16 points as the Cougars beat Hayfield 59-51 in a game at Zumbrota.”

Niebuhr’s points came on 5 field goals and 2 three pointers during the game.

Hayfield was led by Trace Tebay’s 26 points and Mason Tapp added 10. Hayfield fell to 10-10 overall while Pine Island/Zumbrota Mazeppa Alp improved their record to 0-0.
