Mankato East Cougars edges Mahtomedi Zephyrs 66-64 in Minnesota high school basketball game

Mankato East’s Jax Madson led all scorers with 24 points as the Cougars beat Mahtomedi Zephyrs 66-64 in a game.

Madson’s points came on 3 field goals, 5 three pointers and 3 of 3 free throws during the game.

Z Centers added 20. Mahtomedi fell to 2-1 overall while Mankato East improved their record to 14-1.

Mahtomedi’s next game is scheduled to be played at home on Tuesday Feb. 5 at 4:40pm versus St. Thomas Academy. Mankato East will travel to on Tuesday Feb. 5 at 5:30pm to play Northfield.
