Pelican Rapids Guard Jayden Rutherford led the way with 18 points as the Vikings beat Battle Lake Battlers 70-66 in a game at Concordia College.

Rutherford’s points came on 2 field goals, 3 three pointers and 5 of 7 free throws during the game.

Riley Leabo added 18. Battle Lake fell to 0-1 overall while Pelican Rapids improved their record to 4-5.
