Mesabi East’s Ava Hill led the way with 20 points as the Giants beat Aitkin Gobblers 59-57 in a game.

Hill’s points came on 4 field goals, 1 three pointer and 9 of 10 free throws during the game.

Ramsey Moe added 11. Aitkin fell to 0-1 overall while Mesabi East improved their record to 8-1.
