TACOMA, Wash. - Katie Fiso walked into Washington high school girls basketball with high expectations - and departed as a three-time WIAA champion at Garfield High School.
She simply leaves as one of the best prep standouts in state history.
In her final game before heading off to the University of Oregon, Fiso scored a game-high 29 points. She had seven rebounds and two assists. And her two 3-pointers down the stretch helped the Bulldogs held off Mead for the WIAA title.
