Angels: Mike Trout Gets Dragged Around Social Media After Appearance at Eagles Playoff Game

At least his Eagles won.

This past weekend was a great sports weekend for Angels superstar outfielder Mike Trout. Well, as long as he stayed off social media.

Trout was in attendance to watch his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, march their way to the Super Bowl for the second time in six seasons. Hopefully he was paying all his attention to the game and none to social media because, well, fans had some fun at his expense. Let's just say, fans were a bit surprised to see Trout at a playoff game.

There were a lot more tweets like this one. Like, a lot more. I don't need to show you all of them, but if you want to see them for yourself, just go to Twitter and search up "Mike Trout playoffs."

Anyways, you have to feel for Trout, who's only been to the postseason once in his incredible 12-year MLB career. Trout finally reached the playoffs in 2014, only to get swept by the Kansas City Royals in three games. Then, in 2015, the Angels had a winning record, but fell one game short of a postseason appearance. And since then, it's been all losing.

Trout made it clear that his main goal this season is getting to the postseason. He wants to win, not only for himself, but to keep Shohei Ohtani in Angel Red for the foreseeable future. Trout says he feels 100% healthy heading into 2023 so maybe, just maybe, this is the year everything clicks.
