Angels News: Mike Trout Meets 'The Great Hambino' of The Sandlot Fame
It's not often Angels superstar Mike Trout can be upstaged in a picture with another baseball legend. But earlier this week, that may have just been the case.
On Monday, Trout took to social media to share a couple pictures of himself with Patrick Renna. If that name doesn't ring a bell, you may know him as "The Great Hambino" from the famous baseball movie, The Sandlot. Here's Trout's post and hilarious caption with Renna:
"I’ve been around a lot of great players, but nobody touches #thegreathambino"
Renna had to get in on the fun, too.
I'm sure everyone would love to hear some of that trash talk between two baseball legends!
In an interview last year, Trout was asked about his favorite baseball movie of all-time, and said The Sandlot. So it had to be an absolute treat for him to meet of the stars of the movie, and get to talk some baseball.
As for Renna, he got to meet one of the greatest baseball players in the game's history. So really, a win-win for everyone.
