Dodgers Prospects Selected to Spring Breakout Roster

Watch these prospects on March 16.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced their roster for the Spring Breakout game, which is less than 10 days away. The Dodgers roster will feature one player ranked in MLB's top 100 prospects in Dalton Rushing, who's ranked No. 75.

The Dodgers will field 10 pitchers on their roster — Jackson Ferris, Justin Wrobleski, Ronan Kopp, Patrick Copen, Alec Gamboa, Edgardo Henriquez, Joel Ibarra, Jared Karros, Juan Morillo and John Rooney.

They will also utilize four catchers — Rushing, Thayron Liranzo, Yeiner Fernandez and Jesus Galiz.

On the infield side of things, the Dodgers have announced that Trey Sweeney, Jake Gelof, Alexander Albertus, Austin Gauthier, Noah Miller and Alex Freeland made the roster.

Lastly, Josue De Paula, Kendall George, Zyhir Hope, Samuel Munoz, Jose Ramos and Damon Keith fill out the outfielders, via Juan Toribio of MLB.com.

One notable absence is Diego Cartaya, a top Dodgers catching prospect and consensus MLB top 100 prospect over the past two years. Cartaya has been unable to play during the Cactus League this year due to a back issue that has previously limited him. This issue will also keep him out of the Spring Breakout game.

Watch out for Gauthier and Sweeney in this breakout game. Both players have made an impact in Spring Training already for the Dodgers, having each hit a home run. In addition to the homer, Gauthier has seven hits, eights runs and four RBIs while Sweeney has had four hits and two RBIs.

The Dodgers will take on the Los Angeles Angels on March 16.
