Dodgers Rumors: Insider Predicts Clayton Kershaw Re-Signs With LA for 2024 Season

Running it back.

A sure-fire Hall of Famer with the franchise whenever he decided to hang his cleats up, many are wondering if this 2023 postseason will the last dance for a Dodger legend.

Speculating on the fate of Clayton Kershaw and his future with LA, one writer predicted that this year won't be the swan song of his wonderful career in Dodger blue.

Prediction: Re-sign

The future Hall of Famer has flirted with the idea of leaving in the past, but has always found his way back to the Dodgers, and at this point the most likely outcome seems to be a series of one-year deals until he decides to call it quits.

Affected by various injuries in the last few seasons of his career. it's been a frustrating process of being in and out of the rotation in recent years for the lefty legend.

This year, it's been a nagging shoulder condition that's affecting him still with just weeks left in the regular season left.

Unwilling to go back on the shelf, Kershaw is gritting through his final starts in the regular season even as his command and velocity significantly dipped in his most recent appearance against the Marlins.

Set to start this weekend, Kershaw knows he's on the back nine of his career rather than the beginning of it, but Reuter seems convinced this won't be the end.

While many rumors about a possible homecoming in Texas have long been floated considering his contracts year by year, such a situation hasn't come to fruition.

Even as some of his former Dodgers teammates may be on the roster including Max Scherzer and Corey Seager, Kershaw's signing with the Rangers still hasn't happened.

We certainly hope it never does, but if this is truly the end of the road for Kershaw, what a journey it's been for the veteran.
