For the guy that grew up in Orange County and not terribly far from Dodger Stadium, he knows 5 miles could be an extra 30 minutes away on the 5 freeway at times. To cut down on his nightmare commute, Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman is reportedly buying a new closer to his job at Chavez Ravine.

Dirt.com shared the details on the $7.8 million home for Freddie, Chelsea, and their three sons.

The four bedroom, six bath, two story Studio City mansion was just built in 2022 and sits on an almost one-quarter-acre plot. It features a massive kitchen packed with all the top appliances, and living space along with a pool and pool house.

Freeman told the LA Times during spring training that he was looking for a place closer to Dodger Stadium to reduce his 90 minute commute from Corona del Mar. With the new home trimming probably 40 miles from the drive, he should save at least an hour each way whenever the Dodgers are in town.

Freeman values comfort, which is why the All-Star first baseman is taking additional measures to feel more at home in his second season with the Dodgers. He’s looking for a home closer to Dodger Stadium to reduce his 90-minute commute from Orange County.

If Freddie's year one in LA was as successful as it was with a near three hour roundtrip commute, he may very well be on his way to another MVP season living only 25 minutes (with traffic) away from his home for five more years.
