Survey Says: MLB Players Think Dodgers Will Win 2024 World Series

The weight of the world is on the Dodgers' organization.

The Los Angeles Dodgers built the best team possible to win it all in 2024. Love them or hate them, the Dodgers' roster is that of a superteam expected to be the last ones standing at the end of the season.

While some of their opponents might talk trash about the Dodgers' payroll, many major league players understand talent when they see it, predicting the Dodgers will be World Series champions come October.

In a recent player survey, the Dodgers came in at number one among players asked who they believe will win the 2024 World Series (other than their own team).

1. Dodgers

The Dodgers edged the Braves among the players surveyed, with those two clubs in a league of their own in the balloting. But the Dodgers are the team cited most as the one players think will win this year’s World Series (if not their own club). And why not? An already stacked roster added Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, among others, this offseason. The top three in the lineup -- Mookie Betts, Ohtani and Freddie Freeman, are all MVP Award winners.

Following the Dodgers are their NL counterparts, the Atlanta Braves, the Baltimore Orioles, the Philadelphia Phillies, and the New York Yankees, to round off the top five.

The Dodgers have all the ingredients to win their eighth championship in franchise history. The lineup is as good as ever; the rotation is loaded with talent; and the bullpen, when healthy, should be deep. There's no reason the Dodgers can't win the World Series if injuries cooperate.

The survey confirms it: the baseball world will have its eyes on Los Angeles all season long in what should be a season for the ages.
