The Dodgers Establish New MLB Record with 100th Win in 2023

Unprecedented history.

The Dodgers just continue to be the model of consistency not just for baseball, but for the sports world as a whole.

Los Angeles wrapped up their 100th win of the season against their division rival San Francisco and set a new baseball record in the process.

Manager Dave Roberts declared that his team would win it all last year but such an outcome never materialized after a playoff flameout.

San Diego took three straight games from LA after they'd just defeated the 100-win Mets in the Wild Card round and sent 2022's best regular season team in baseball packing for winter.

A significant talent loss followed the team's NLDS flameout as Trea Turner, Tyler Anderson, Andrew Heaney and more pieces all departed last winter for free-agent deals elsewhere around the league.

Many counted Dodgers executive Andrew Freidman out after a quiet offseason and grew ready to crown the Padres the new kings of the NL West.

The Friars added Xander Bogaerts to their NLCS roster from a year ago and welcomed back Fernando Tatis Jr. to the fold in the spring as analysts never gave the Dodgers a chance.

2023 instead proved more of the same for LA after their 10th NL West Crown in 11 years as the team clinched a first-round bye and crossed the century mark in wins once again.

Superstar play from Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts, rookie pitching contributions across the board and savvy veteran trade deadline additions made it a collective effort to propel one of the best teams in baseball to unprecedented heights.

Those at Chavez Ravine know the work they've all put in and now turn their eyes to the postseason.

Eager to wash away last season's shortcomings, Roberts seeks redemption and one of the more impressive World Series championships in recent memory in just a week.
