SF Giants will drop beer prices to $9 at Oracle Park

After an offseason of disappointment, from Judge to Correa, SF Giants fans are finally winners - in the concession line.

In an almost unprecedented move, the SF Giants are shaking up the ballpark experience, one foam top at a time. In 2022, a 14 oz. Budweiser would set you back $14, a pretty hefty sum for just one bottle. This year, though, Giants President and CEO Larry Baer announced that they'd be slashing the price of drinks to $9, decreasing the price by more than a third.

This deal was technically available last year, but only to those seated in the Giants' 415 section out in center field. Now, the deal will be available to the rest of the ballpark. You'll be able to find the discounted beer at the Doggie Diner locations around Oracle Park. Any domestic draft beer there will hold the $9 price tag, although that suggests that imports and wines will cost a few dollars more.

Still, it's a nice bit of news for fans who may have been hesitant to head back to the ballpark. Since the pandemic, attendance figures at Oracle haven't been nearly what they were in the championship heyday of the early 2010s, and Baer and co. hope that this is a step towards bringing back the sellout crowds of yesteryear.

Hot dogs, beer, and baseball under the summer sun are all part of a long American tradition. With all the changes being made this year, the hope is that faster games, cheaper beer, and a whole lot of winning make this SF Giants season one to remember. As long as hope springs as eternal as the beer taps, I'll cheers to that.
