Amed Rosario's Cryptic Tweets As The Guardians Are Less Than A Week From Opening Day

Cleveland Guardians shortstop Amed Rosario has an intriguing Tweet on Saturday.

Whether you want him locked up on a long-term deal, or wish the Cleveland Guardians would play someone over him, Amed Rosario is one of the most polarizing players for fans to debate online.

That made his Tweet on Saturday afternoon even that more intriguing, even though it was just a collection of emojis. Here are the Tweets:

Rosario has been Cleveland's starting shortstop since 2021. Over those two years, he's slashed .282/.316/.406 and has hit 22 home runs and drove in 128 RBI. It truly is not bad for one of the main pieces in the Francisco Lindor trade.

However, there is hope that the likes of Gabriel Arias, Tyler Freeman, or Brayan Rocchio could turn out to be even better than Rosario and become megastars.

The dilemma is that the face of the franchise, Jose Ramirez, has been very outspoken that he wants the organization to sign Rosario to a long-term deal. The best time for a player to sign an extension is right now.

President of baseball operations, Chris Antonetti, said just last week that he was "optimistic" that the organization could reach extensions before Opening Day, which is this Thursday.

Was Rosario the player he was talking about?  We're not sure as he didn't go into detail about who he was negotiating with and there are a number of players on the Guardians who are eligible to get one.

We may never figure out exactly what Amed's Tweets were all about but it definitely has caused a stir with everything else going on around it.
