2024 Guardians Spring Training Players Of The Game: Game 17

Cleveland's Deyvison De Los Santos, Steven Kwan, Triston McKenzie, and Emmanuel Clase each had a strong performance in the team's 5-1 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Cleveland Guardians earned their fifth 2024 Cactus League win with a 5-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday afternoon.

With 90 players representing the Guardians during spring training (40-man roster, 22 non-roster invitees, and 28 depth camp players), each game’s roster will vary.

Based on Cleveland’s roster for yesterday’s game and their performances in the contest, here are four Players of the Game.

Deyvison De Los Santos, DH

After entering the game with just one RBI in his previous 10 spring training contests, De Los Santos recorded his first multi-RBI game of the spring.

The 20-year-old hit an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth inning, then a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning.

De Los Santos’ second hit gave him his first home run and second multi-hit game of the spring.

Triston McKenzie, RHP

The 26-year-old had another impressive start, recording his first win of the spring and second consecutive scoreless outing with one hit allowed.

He pitched 3.0 innings, allowing one walk, throwing four strikeouts, and facing just 10 total batters.
