Eight 40-Man Roster Players Confirmed To Attend 2024 Guards Fest

Andrés Giménez, Tanner Bibee, and Gavin Williams of the Cleveland Guardians are among eight confirmed attendees for the 2024 Guards Fest.

The Cleveland Guardians will host the 2024 Guards Fest on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.

At this annual event, Guardians fans have the chance to interact with players and coaches before spring training begins.

On Tuesday, the team confirmed that at least eight players on its 40-man roster will attend the event.

While more attendees will be announced soon, here is a breakdown of the ones confirmed so far.

Andrés Giménez

The 2023 AL Platinum Glove Award winner also won his second consecutive American League Gold Glove Award this season. Additionally, he hit .251 with 15 home runs, and 62 RBI, with career-highs of 27 doubles, five triples, and 30 stolen bases.

Tanner Bibee

The 24-year-old had a breakout rookie season this year, being named the 2023 AL Rookie of the Year Award runner-up. He went 10-4 with a 2.98 ERA, 141 strikeouts, and 1.18 WHIP in 25 starts.

Gavin Williams

The 2021 first-round pick had a strong showing in his rookie season this year. He went 3-5 with a 3.29 ERA, 81 strikeouts, and 1.26 WHIP in 16 starts.

Gabriel Arias

The 23-year-old had a powerful bat in his first full MLB season this year. He had 66 hits, 10 home runs, 26 RBI, and 15 doubles in 122 games with Cleveland.

Logan Allen

The 25-year-old left-hander had a productive rookie season with the Guardians this year. He went 7-8 with a 3.81 ERA, 119 strikeouts, and 1.40 WHIP in 24 starts.

Eli Morgan

The 27-year-old was once again a main fixture in Cleveland’s bullpen this season. He went 5-2 with a 4.01 ERA, one save, 75 strikeouts, and 1.44 WHIP in 61 relief appearances.

Cody Morris

The 27-year-old has made 13 appearances (five starts) with the Guardians over the last two seasons. He has gone 1-2 with a 3.41 ERA, 32 strikeouts, and a 1.55 ERA with Cleveland.

Joey Cantillo

Cleveland’s 11th-ranked prospect per MLB Pipeline has yet to make his Major League debut. However, the 24-year-old left-hander has had a strong Minor League career so far, going 24-16 with a 2.94 ERA, 473 strikeouts, and 1.18 WHIP in 88 appearances (71 starts).

According to the Guardians’ website, new manager Stephen Vogt has been confirmed to be in attendance as well.
