The Cleveland Guardians and Detroit Tigers were washed out before either team could even step foot between the lines on Monday evening.

Both teams announced earlier this afternoon that the game would be postponed due to inclement weather with it being made up on Tuesday as a traditional doubleheader.

The doubleheader will start at 1:10 PM with the second game to follow. As a reminder, MLB did away with the shortened 7-inning doubleheaders as of 2022 -- but placing a runner on second base in the event of a tie after nine innings is still in place for all extra inning games.

The club headed to Detroit after dropping the final game of the Nationals series on Sunday with a record of 9-7. The team has taken three of the five series they have played this far, and are looking to wrap up the road trip with one more before coming back home for a six-game home stand.
