The Cleveland Guardians are promoting 23-year-old top catching prospect Bo Naylor for their day night doubleheader Sunday vs the Mets.

Guardians fans have been clamoring for Naylor all season but as of now it looks like their wish will be short lived as Bo will likely be up just for Sunday as the teams 27th and extra man against the Mets.

Naylor has been putting up strong numbers all season long so far with Triple-A Columbus which makes the struggles of Cleveland's current catching situation stand out even more.

Over 41 games at Columbus Naylor has 18 extra base hits including a team high nine home runs while posting a .257 average and a .898 OPS. His 33 walks have led to him reaching base almost 40% of the time sporting a .391 OBP on the year.

There is not much left for Naylor to prove at least offensively at the Triple-A level and for at least one day Guardians fans will get to see possibly a glimpse of the team's future behind the plate.
