WATCH: Josh Bell Hits First Home Run In A Guardians Uniform

Josh Bell hits his first home run of Spring Training and in a Cleveland Guardians jersey.

If you've ever wondered why the Cleveland Guardians went out and signed Josh Bell to a multiyear contract worth $33 million.

Well, here is the reason:

This was Bell's first home run of Spring Training with it being just his second game of the Cactus League. This one was absolutely crushed too!

This is a perfect example of why the Guardians brought in Bell during the off-season. Cleveland was desperately in need of some pop in their lineup after finishing among the bottom of the league in homers in 2022.

Bell won the Silver Slugger award for designated hitters in the National League after splitting his time between the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Padres.

Having a bat such as Bell's hitting behind Jose Ramirez will be a huge premium and could even help boost some of Jose's numbers as well. Bell is also a contender to see his stats improve in 2023 because of the banning of the shift.

I can't wait to see the mammoth homers he hits at Progressive Field.
