Make that home run number one for the Cleveland Guardians!

It took three games for the Guardians to hit one, but they're finally in the home run column for the season. Their first home run came from Josh Naylor who smoked a fastball from the Seattle Mariners' Logan Gilbert!

Watch the homer here:

With this being the Guardians' first home run of the season, it's Naylor's first one as well.

Gilbert had been pitching a solid game before this play. The home run he gave up was just the third hit for the Guardians of the game. The first two were base hits from Jose Ramirez and Myles Straw. The right-handed pitcher also struck out four Guardians the first time through the order.

However, with one swing of the bat, the Guardians took an earlier 1-0 lead.

Naylor had the second mode home runs on the Guardians last season with 20 home runs as Jose Ramirez led the way with 29.

Cleveland hit the second-fewest home runs in 2022. The Guardians had just 127 homers right behind their division rival the Detroit Tigers who hit 110. The Guardians addressed this by signing power-hitter Josh Bell during the offseason, but Naylor beat him to it for the first homer.
