The Cleveland Guardians are still waiting for Will Brennan to come around on the offensive end. He had a promising bat coming up from Triple-A, but he's struggled to find consistency with it at the Big League level.

One part of Brennan's game that has shined is his defense. The advanced stats highlight just how effective the right fielder has been so far this season.

Brennan currently ranks in the 66th percentile in outs above average and the 86th percentile in arm strength. His cannon has put him into an elite group of defenders across baseball. His five outfield assists are currently tied with Ronalad Acuna Jr. for second most in baseball.

This arm strength and accuracy are a wonderful sight to see out of a young outfielder such as Brennan.

It's not just the right fielder who getting it done in the outfield either.

Heading into Monday's slate of games, the Guardians had 11 outfield assists which are tied for the MLB lead with the Kansas City Royals. Brennan leads the Guardians with five outfield assists himself.

Clveland's offense is struggling, we all know it. However, a defense such as this is what helps them stay in games and keep the score close. It could be the difference maker in a win or loss once the offense starts scoring runs consistently.
