The New York Yankees have been interested in acquiring Juan Soto for a very long time. With the MLB offseason now underway, it looks like that's a real possibility of happening. Not only has New York been looking for another superstar talent, just as they always are, but Soto is the exact type of player that they need.

Needing an outfielder in the worst way, going out and adding a player of Soto's caliber makes sense in every possible way. When factoring in the right field porch at Yankee Stadium, this is a match made in heaven for both sides.

The question will continue to be what San Diego is looking for in a trade. However, the Yankees have the prospects to get the deal done.

The Yankees have five prospects in the top 100, according to MLB.com. Spencer Jones, Everson Pereira, Chase Hampton, and Drew Thorpe could be names the Yankees move for a player of Soto's caliber. Jasson Dominguez is considered a top 100 prospect still, but it's highly unlikely the Yankees move him.

According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, he believes the Yankees have an opportunity to land Soto.

"I think the Yankees have a really good chance of going out and getting Soto."

The newly turned 25-year-old is coming off a season where he put together another ridiculous showing at the plate. What he's been able to do on the offensive side of the baseball since he entered the big leagues has been nothing short of impressive.

Outside of the 35 home runs, Soto continues to get on base at ridiculous levels, which was shown by his 132 walks. This is the perfect man for this Yankees offense.
