Yankees Star Aaron Judge Gives His Opinion On Aaron Boone As Questions Swirl About Future

What will the Yankees do this upcoming offseason?

The New York Yankees will be busy this upcoming offseason but it sounds like star slugger Aaron Judge doesn't want to see a change in the manager position.

Aaron Boone took over the manager position for the Yankees ahead of the 2018 campaign and has been extremely successful but questions have swirled this season if he possibly could be let go this upcoming offseason. New York has underachieved this season and currently is 77-76, but injuries likely are the biggest reason for the struggles, not Boone.

While at this point it seems unlikely that the team will let Boone go, that hasn't stopped rumors from spreading. Judge already has made his opinion known in the past and did so once again Thursday, according to a clip shared by SNY Yankees.

"There's, in my mind, no better guy for that position," Judge said. "He's in the trenches with us. He fights with us every single day. That's who you want next to you when you're going to battle."

The Yankees certainly have struggled this season, but Boone shouldn't be considered the reason why. He has been extremely successful since taking over the club and even became the first manager in Major League Baseball history to win 100 or more games in his first two seasons. The Yankees should be significantly better next season -- especially with a few moves this upcoming offseason. If New York wants to make a change in the manager position, it should wait until after the 2024 season.
