Darius Garland Reaches Career Milestone Against The Pacers

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland knocks down his 500th career three-pointer against the Indiana Pacers.

Darius Garland continues to make his mark on the NBA as one of the league's best young point guards.

Garland reached an impressive career milestone against the Pacers on Sunday evening. He knocked down a total of three three-pointers with the last one being the biggest of the night.

In the fourth quarter, Garland hit that third three of the game which also gave him his 500th career three-pointer made.

The biggest strength in Garland's game when he came out of college was his three-point shooting and that has translated beautifully to the NBA. He's averaging over two made threes a game over his first four years in the league knocking them down at an efficient 38 percent.

Garland isn't just making big strides in his personal career, but he's also filling up the Cavaliers' record book as well. Earlier this season he put himself in the top ten in Cavs history in three-pointers made.

With his 500th career three, he's now 43 away from passing Danny Ferry.

Garland signed a five-year $193 million extension over the offseason which is the largest contract in the organization's history. With that being said, Garland will have plenty of opportunities to reach more career milestones in a Cavs jersey.
