The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and the LA Clippers did not trade anyone from their roster. This includes veteran forward P.J. Tucker, who has been very vocal about his desire to be traded somewhere he can play a role on the court.

After the trade deadline passed, Tucker shared this message on his Instagram story:

While this is seemingly about not being dealt, it cannot be entirely confirmed unless Tucker himself comes out and says so. That said, it is very interesting timing, given his desire to be traded and LA's inability to find a trade parter.

Tucker has not appeared in a game since November 27th, falling out of Ty Lue's rotation entirely after a rough 12 games following his arrival in the James Harden trade. In his 12 games before getting benched entirely, Tucker scored just 14 total points on 28.6% from the field and 27.3% from deep. The Clippers lost Tucker's minutes by 34 points before going away from him in favor of rookie forward Kobe Brown.

Brown did not stick in the rotation either, as it is now Amir Coffey getting those backup forward minutes and playing very well in them. There seems to be no path to minutes for Tucker on this Clippers roster, which likely contributes to his frustration that no deal was found.
