Warriors Rookie Makes Unexpected Statement on Clippers Legend

One of the more unexpected statements made this season.

The Golden State Warriors absolutely demolished the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night, beating them 125-90. Giannis Antetokounmpo even played, but was held to a pretty average game by Warriors rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis.

In fact, Jackson-Davis surprisingly credited Clippers legend Blake Griffin for the defense that he played on Giannis.

"I've never faced anyone like him before.," Jackson-Davis said. "The person I've watched guard him in the past that's done a pretty successful job is Blake Griffin. Just sitting back and kind of allowing him to come to you, and then watching that spin move that he likes to do."

For as exciting as Blake Griffin was throughout the beginning of his career, he's still somehow become underrated by the modern NBA fan. He still has one of the greatest rookie seasons in NBA history and arguably peaked too high, too quickly.

Even though the LA Clippers have a 3-1 series record against the Warriors this season, Golden State isn't a team to laugh at. While the Warriors struggled tremendously at the start of the season, their success against the Bucks showed that they're no longer that team. In fact, the Warriors have won 14 of their last 18 games and made a quality push for the 6th seed. There's a realistic scenario where the Golden State Warriors and LA Clippers actually face off against each other in the first round this season.
