College basketball is just right around the corner, but thankfully we still have time to do some preseason scouting on these college players. Let’s dive into the top Big Ten prospects for the 2024 NBA Draft.

Mackenzie Mgbako | Indiana

Mackenzie Mgbako is a 6-foot-9 freshman forward that will be playing for the Indiana Hoosiers this upcoming season. His physical tools really pop when just looking at him on film to go along with some solid athleticism. What makes Mgbako pretty enticing is his 3-and-D skillset at 6-foot-9. He’s a good shooter off the catch as he has good shot mechanics and overall touch. He has the tools and ability to defend two through four effectively. The freshman will be given high expectations for the Hoosiers this upcoming season so it will be interesting to see how he handles it.

Kel’el Ware | Indiana

Kel’el Ware is a 7-foot sophomore center that will also be playing for the Indiana Hoosiers after playing his freshman season for the Oregon Ducks. He’s a skilled center that’s absolutely oozing with potential on the offensive end. Ware has shown the ability to stretch the floor out to three while also being an effective finisher inside the paint. With the incoming big man transferring to Indiana he’ll be able to see more minutes and will likely get a lot more meaningful touches. If Ware is able to showcase his full offensive arsenal for Indiana then we could be watching a potential first-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Xavier Booker | Michigan State

Xavier Booker is a 6-foot-10 freshman big man that will be playing for the Michigan State Spartans this upcoming season. The Indiana native brings a unique offensive skill set that the Spartans haven’t had on their roster in some time. Booker has the ability to score in the low post, mid-range and out to three. The big man makes his presence felt on the offensive end as he offers three level scoring ability. It will be interesting to see how he’s utilized for the Spartans but if he’s getting his touches needed, he can make a big impact in his freshman year.
