The end of the 2022-23 NBA regular season is just a few days away, and the league’s freshest class is putting the finishing touches on their season.

While the rookie wall has indeed gotten the best of a few players, this year’s class seems to be miraculously elevating their play with the end in sight.

One such player whose seen a massive statistical boost with added opportunity is Portland Trail Blazers rookie Shaedon Sharpe, who has re-added his name to the ladder following some hot performances.

Over the last eight games, Sharpe has averaged 24.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 46 percent overall, 40 percent from beyond the arc on over eight attempts and 76 percent from the line.

It hasn’t necessarily helped the Blazers chances at winning (they’re just 2-6 in that span), but Sharpe’s progress at just 19-years-old is promising, nonetheless.

While he’s much too late to earn a spot on the ladder, Wizards lottery pick Johnny Davis impressed in a showing versus the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday. Davis got off to a rough start in his NBA career, but seems to be building confidence heading into his first offseason.

In just his second career start, he posted 20 points on 9-for-17 shooting, five rebounds, four assists and two steals and block apiece.
