With it set to take place this Thursday, we are finally on the cusp of the 2023 NBA Draft.

After a year of evaluating prospects and analyzing possible draft night scenarios, we will get the chance to see it all go down later this week. However, nobody truly knows exactly what will happen as the next wave of talent enters the pros.

Here are a few questions whose answers will define the story of the 2023 NBA Draft:

Brandon Miller or Scoot Henderson?

After San Antonio selects Victor Wembanyama first overall, Charlotte will be on the clock. They will then be tasked with choosing between Miller and Henderson.

For the majority of the cycle, Henderson has been considered the second best player in this draft, but many prefer Miller’s fit next to LaMelo Ball. The Hornets decision between the 6-foot-2 electric point guard and 6-foot-9 sharpshooter will not only determine their next franchise cornerstone, but also what happens with the third overall pick.

Portland currently owns this pick, but they have reportedly been shopping it in order to acquire win-now pieces next to Damian Lillard. Between Henderson and Miller, whoever is available with the third pick will have a large impact on which franchise pursues this pick from Portland.

How high do Bilal Coulibaly and Taylor Hendricks go?

Coulibaly and Hendricks have been some of the biggest late risers in this year’s draft cycle.

The two wings both bring intriguing skill sets on both sides of the ball. They’ve unseated some of the biggest names in this class as presumptive top-10 picks. If they are selected this high, big names such as Nick Smith Jr., Cam Whitmore, Keyonte George, Cason Wallace and Anthony Black could slip.

Therefore, their outcome will have a large impact on the rest of Thursday night’s events.

How far does G.G. Jackson slip?

Jackson, a former South Carolina gamecock and the youngest player in this pool, is undeniably one of the most talented prospects in this draft class. At 6-foot-9, his mix of fluidity, skill, and physical attributes is only matched by NBA stars.

However, due to rumors of poor workouts, his stock has fallen greatly in recent months. Some mock drafts have even projected him into the second round.

Jackson truly has the potential to be a top-5 player in this draft when it is all said and done. This isn’t normal for someone who could fall to the second round. Jackson’s selection will be one of the biggest stories of the 2023 NBA Draft.
