NBA Draft: Brandon Miller Leads Alabama to Blowout Win Over Kentucky

Potential top-five pick NBA Draft pick Brandon Miller helped Alabama to a blowout win over Kentucky on Saturday.

Potential top-five NBA Draft selection Brandon Miller and the Alabama Crimson Tide cruised to a huge win over division rival Kentucky on Saturday.

It was a massive showing for many reasons for the 6-foot-9 forward, who poured on 19 points on 7-for-15 shooting in the 78-52 Alabama win.

After a slow start, Miller got hot in the second half. He finished with seven rebounds and one steal as well.

On the season, Miller is now up to 19.1 points on 43 percent shooting. He’s grabbing 8.6 boards per game and dishing out 2.1 assists in the process, but is most notably shooting well over 40 percent from beyond the arc on a solid amount of attempts.

Kentucky has some draft prospects of it’s own in potential lottery pick Cason Wallace, projected second rounder Oscar Tshiebwe and Chris Livingston, who has yet to find his collegiate footing, but was a consensus top-15 freshman coming into the season.

Nearly every Wildcat has a tough day. Wallace finished 1-for-13 from the floor, but made up for it in other ways with five rebounds, three assists and a steal. Tshiebwe shot 1-for-7 and Livingston again struggled to find his offensive groove scoring just four points.

Alabama’s Noah Clowney, another potential first round selection due to his size and fluidity, scored eight points on 2-for-5 shooting, nabbing six rebounds and hitting one 3-pointer.

Miller and the Crimson Tide are back in action at 6 p.m. on Jan. 11 agains the thirteenth-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks.
