NBA Draft Roundup: Yves Missi, Oso Ighodaro Shine on Saturday

A pair of big men shone bright in Saturday's college basketball slate, raising their NBA Draft stock in the process.

With lighter talent near the very top, spots in the 2024 NBA Draft are still very much up for grabs. And college basketball’s elite did their best to raise their stock today.

Here are the top performances from college basketball’s Saturday afternoon schedule:

Oso Ighodaro, Marquette

Ighodaro continues to establish himself as one of the premier big men, not just in college basketball, but in the 2024 NBA Draft cycle, too.

He’s stuffed the stat sheet in nearly every contest this season, and Saturday was no different. He poured on 21 points on 10-for-19 shooting, tacking on seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in the process.

Even better, Marquette left with an 18-point win over Seton Hall.

Jared McCain, Duke

Freshman guard Jared McCain saw a record day today, scoring 21 points while hitting on eight of his 12 field goal attempts. He was especially strong behind the arc, canning three out of seven triples.

Even better, the 6-foot-3, undersized guard was able to impact the game outside of scoring, grabbing five boards, dishing a pair of assists and nabbing three steals.

With more 20-point outings, McCain’s already-rising stock is sure to shoot even higher.

Yves Missi, Baylor

Another big man not to go unnoticed on Saturday was Baylor’s Yves Missi, who played a grind-it-out, triple overtime contest versus Big 12 rival TCU that eventually ended in a loss.

Still, Missi was pivotal to the Bear’s effort, scoring a team-high 25 points while adding nine rebounds and a steal and block apiece. He was ultra-efficient, hitting 10 of his 14 shots and knocking down five of seven at the charity stripe.

The big man's teammate — Ja'Kobe Walter, likely slated to go in the top 10 in 2024 — had 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists, but shot a rough 2-for-12 from the floor.
