The upcoming college basketball season is approaching, as a new class of freshman joins returning stars.

Every year, there’s a handful of players that emerge as top draft talents after another college season of experience. This is especially the case this season, as there's a tremendous pool of prospects returning to the college stage.

As it relates to the 2024 NBA Draft and where players are projected, who are the top returning college players this season?

Donovan Clingan (UConn)

After being extremely effective in a limited role last season, Clingan will have every opportunity to prove he's the best center prospect in the entire country this season as UConn looks to repeat.

Tyrese Proctor (Duke)

Even if Duke has multiple top freshman joining him in the backcourt, this is still Proctor's offense to run as he looks to prove he is a lottery talent.

Judah Mintz (Syracuse)

Although he was a potential first-round pick last season, Mintz will have the chance to emerge as one of the most exciting guards in college basketball this season.

Zach Edey (Purdue)

Given what he accomplished last season, there doesn't appear to be much more Edey can prove at this level, but still came back for one more college campaign.

Trevon Brazile (Arkansas)

If he can recover fully from his ACL injury, expect Brazile to be one of the best forwards in the country this season in a redemption season.

Kyle Filipowski (Duke)

If he can prove to be a quality 3-point shooter, Filipowski has the chance to be a lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.

Baba Miller (Florida State)

Following a freshman season that was derailed by a suspension, Miller will potentially be the biggest breakout sophomore in college basketball this season with more experience and exposure.

Ryan Dunn (Virginia)

A jumbo wing with 3-and-D potential, Dunn could be the next great Virginia prospect to make a splash in the NBA.

Riley Kugel (Florida)

He could have been a first rounder in the 2023 NBA Draft, but has his eyes set on the lottery after a very strong close to last season.

This is a season in which there's upwards of 20 different returning players that have a chance to get selected in the 2024 NBA Draft. Regardless, this list features many of the top prospects.
