Clashes in the SoCon, Atlantic 10, and Missouri Valley lead the way for three of the most interesting under the radar games tonight to scout. Let’s get you ready to scout them.

Western Carolina vs. UNC Greensboro (6:00 pm ET)

Top Prospect: Vonterius Woolbright | Guard | 6’6 | 215 pounds | Senior | Western Carolina

2023-24 Stats: 22.3ppg | 12.rpg | 5.3apg | 26% 3P (1.4 3PA) | 0.6 stocks per game

Woolbright has broken out on the NBA draft radar as a high-usage, stat sheet stuffing guard. His production and skillset simply cannot be denied.

Woolbright shines as a slashing guard that mixes power and finesse as a scorer while showing advanced playmaking and connective passing. NBA teams will love his ability to operate pick-and-rolls as both a scorer and passer on top of being a grab-and-go threat. The only real pause for concern is the sub 30% 3-point and the lack of volume there. Pre-draft workouts will be an opportunity to showcase more shooting potential and raise his stock a bit. He’s a prime two-way contract candidate and it’s not out of the question for him to hear his name called in June.

George Washington vs. St. Joseph’s (7:00 pm ET)

Top Prospects:

Erik Reynolds II | Guard | 6’2 | 180 pounds | Junior | Saint Joseph’s

2023-24 Stats: 16.4ppg | 2.6rpg | 2.5apg | 39% 3P (7.8 3PA) | 1.4 stocks per game

James Bishop | Guard | 6’2 | 190 pounds | Senior | George Washington

2023-24 Stats: 17.4ppg | 3rpg | 4.4apg | 35% 3P (5.4 3PA) | 1.0 stocks per game

Darren Buchannon Jr. | Wing | 6’7 | 235 pounds | Redshirt Freshman | George Washington

2023-24 Stats: 15.2ppg | 6.7rpg (1.8 off) | 2.2apg | 23% 3P (0.9 3PA) | 1.7 stocks per game

This matchup features two of the most talented guards and scorers in the Atlantic 10 — St. Joseph’s Erick Reynolds II and GW’s James Bishop. The NBA appeal case is similar for both prospects shot creating and shot making guards that can bring a spark of the bench with their multi-level scoring. Reynolds holds the edge because of a more reliable history of 3-point shooting.

Buchannon Jr. is the best long-term NBA prospect in this game. He’s a strong, physical, slashing wing with ball skills and two-way upside. The swing skill to track for him is no doubt his 3-point shooting.

GW’s Maximus Edwards (lefty scoring wing), Garrett Johnson (big wing sharpshooter) and Jacoi Hutchinson (two-way lead guard) are all additional long-term NBA prospects that should be monitored.

Indiana State vs. Valparaiso (8:00 pm ET)

Top Prospect: Robbie Avila | Big | 6’10 | 240 pounds | Sophomore | Indiana State

2023-24 Stats: 16.6ppg | 7.4rpg (1.3 off) | 3.8apg | 40% 3P (4.1 3PA) |1.5 stocks per game

While Vonterius Woolbright might be the most versatile guard in the country, Robbie Avila should be at the top of the list of the country's most versatile big men. He is a modern NBA big prospect with positional size that can dribble, pass, and shoot alongside a legitimate feel for the game.

He acts as an offensive hub for Indiana State and matchup nightmare for opposing bigs. Avila’s “Baby Joker” nickname certainly invokes lofty unnecessary expectations but does accurately depict how Indiana State deploys him and his skillset.
