The 2023 NBA Summer League has now been chugging along for a few days, and we’ve seen our fair share of great performances from some of the league’s newest names.

Tuesday’s slate, six games between a variety of teams who owned top draft picks, should be no different. Here are some of the bigger matchups to look for Tuesday:

Cason Wallace Versus Cam Whitmore

The Rockets are set to sit their 2022 draftees, Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason, for the rest of Summer League. And rookie and fourth overall selection Amen Thompson is likely set to sit the rest of the slate due to a Grade 2 ankle sprain suffered in Houston’s first game.

But the Rockets still have a high-level prospect in Cam Whitmore, who is set to face off against defensive stalwart Cason Wallace and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

There’s some juxtaposition between Whitmore and Wallace’s games, one relying on high-flying athleticism to score in bunches while the other makes his name on the defensive end of the court with some even-keel offense on the other end.

Either way, it should be a fun outing.

Bilal Coulibaly Versus Sidy Cissoko

Bilal Coulibaly and Sidy Cissoko were once teammates playing in the FIBA U18 European Championship for France. On Tuesday, they’ll face off in a bout between the Washington Wizards and San Antonio Spurs, now their respective teams.

Coulibaly was selected seventh overall and Cissoko at No. 44, so there was a fair bit of distance between. Still, it should be a cool moment for both.

Neither has had a breakout performance just yet, but either is fully capable.
