Prospect Profile

Length and versatility are two traits that every modern perimeter player needs to thrive on both ends of the floor. That's exactly what Christie brings, with a 6-foot-6 frame and a skillset that will allow him to play several potential roles at the next level.

While he may ultimately end up being more of a traditional wing in the NBA, Christie is essentially a combo guard with good size. He's savvy off the dribble and likes to score in the midrange, though he can also get all the way to the rim and convert effectively as well. What really makes him so difficult to defend is just how great of a 3-point shooter he is, which forces opposing defenses to pick him up further from the rim than most guards who are also effective off the bounce.

As a passer, there's certainly some upside for Christie as a connector at the next level. He likely won't be much of a lead guard, but it's always good for teams to have multiple playmakers with the ball on the floor at all times. He projects to enhance an NBA offense in many ways while he's on the court.

On both ends of the floor — especially defensively — Christie will need to fill out and get stronger if he's going to reach his ceiling. This is the case for many players his age, but especially given where some of his deficiencies are, a stronger frame would be extremely beneficial. If he's going to defend some of the bigger wings in the NBA, this will be a necessity.

Christie comes from a family of basketball players, most notably his older brother Max Christie who currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers after being selected with the No. 35 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. Furthermore, his mother and father both played at the collegiate level.
