Indiana Pacers Are Reportedly Making A Play For Max Strus

In this story:
While the Miami Heat are mostly linked with Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, there is other news during free agency.
It was recently reported by NBA insider Marc Stein the Indiana Pacers have some interest in Heat guard Max Strus. Losing Strus would leave a huge hole because Strus could play shooting guard and small forward.
Last year he averaged 11.5 points and 3.2 rebounds on 41 percent shooting. He made 33 starts in the regular season before helping make up for the absence of the injured Tyler Herro (broken hand) in the playoffs.
Strus becomes a free agent July 1 after completing a two-year deal. This is his first shot at big payday, which is likely to happen after proving he was a capable rotation player after going undrafted out of DePaul in 2019.
Strus spent most of his time in the G League before becoming a breakout player with the Heat.
