The Orlando Magic has surprised a lot of people this season, and its defense has been a big reason why it has had so much success.

The team has more than its fair share of great defensive players, and perhaps the most well-rounded among them is forward Jonathan Isaac. In a recent episode of The Lowe Post, Zach Lowe and David Thorpe say what they think about the defensive presence of Isaac.

"It's the most exciting thing happening in the NBA right now," Lowe said. "You watch the Magic, and this dude is hitting threes. he's more comfortable off the dribble, and his defense is like having seven defensive players on the floor."

One of the only problems that Isaac has had in the past is his ability to stay on the court. And while he has missed some time this year, he has played 53 of the team's 75 games. And Isaac has finished with no steals and no blocks in only six of those games, as he has contributed defensively just about every game he has played.

"He's the best defensive player in the world right now," Thorpe said. "Wembanyama is a story unto himself... but Isaac is quicker."

Isaac and the rest of the Magic will be back in action on the road on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET from the Spectrum Center.
