Other than Ben Simmons, who saw the complex return of the nerve impingement in his lower back, the Brooklyn Nets also noted the key availabilities of both Day’Ron Sharpe and Cam Thomas on their Tuesday night eventual 112-107 victory matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Sharpe nursing a wrist injury

Upon sustaining a right wrist contusion last Monday's loss against the Memphis Grizzlies, Sharpe wasn’t able to play for the Nets against the 76ers. In his absence, Brooklyn called up rookie Noah Clowney from the Long Island Nets to step in for Day’Ron.

In the pregame of the match, interim head coach Kevin Ollie announced that Sharpe had already undergone imaging on his injured right wrist, and the team is now waiting for the result and severity of his contusion.

Sharpe — who is averaging 7.3 points, 6.7 boards, and 1.4 assists — has missed his 16th game of the season against Philly. He notably got sidelined for 15 straight games because of a left knee hyperextension in January.

Cam still down

On the other hand, Thomas was shelved for his fifth straight game because of a sprain in his right ankle. Despite this, Ollie declared that the Nets microwave guard is now ramping up his activities in hopes of a sooner comeback on the hardwood.

“He’s just getting better,” Ollie said about Thomas. “He’s ramping up his workouts and then keep leaning on our medical staff — and him also because he’s a big part of this — to let us know when he’s ready. But he is ramping up a little bit more than what he was doing prior.”

Thomas sprained his left ankle last November, which caused him to miss nine straight games. For 48 games played, he is currently averaging 20.9 points, 2.9 boards, and 2.7 assists this season.
