Kevin Durant's New Injury Return Timeline Revealed
Kevin Durant is working towards a return, but he's not quite ready to return just yet. While Durant is working out, new details have revealed that he's out until after the All-Star break.
Durant has been out of action since January 12 with a right knee MCL sprain. He's only played in 39 games this season but was putting up some insane numbers. Kevin Durant was averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists on 56/38/93 shooting with the Brooklyn Nets this season.
A big reason why the Nets were able to go on an 11-game winning streak this season was because of how great Durant performed throughout that span. When Kevin Durant does debut with the Phoenix Suns this season, they'll likely be a very scary team.
Many have already started dubbing the Phoenix Suns as the favorite to come out of the western conference after their blockbuster trade with the Brooklyn Nets. It's hard to imagine that Durant will have a hard time meshing with Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and Deandre Ayton, but nothing matters until it's seen on the court.
The bigger issue than how these players will mesh with each other is actually going to be the availability of their superstars on the court. As it stands, Kevin Durant is not available. The Brooklyn Nets have played roughly 56 games this season, and he's only played in 39 of them, roughly 69% of them. It remains to be seen whether that level of availability is enough for the Phoenix Suns.
