NBA 2K20 First Look Reveals More of the same from the leading NBA game franchise
Nets Insider received its very own copy of NBA2K20 and so far it hasn't disappointed. Nets fans get their first glimpse of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving donning Black and White.
The physics of the game remain lifelike and with no major changes to the styling or look and feel, NBA2K has stuck with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mantra.
Player movement is more fluid and the opening tutorial helps players fully utilize the capabilities of the right joystick. From gathers to step-throughs, everything is possible with the shotstick.
Admittedly, I'm accustomed to using the square button for jumpshots and dribbling manuevers, but the shotstick is slowly working its way into my own repertoire.
It is a curious choice to use Klay Thompson as the tutorial player as Steph Curry, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, or dare I say the cover athlete Anthony Davis or even Dwayne Wade for the Legends Edition would have been a more appropriate choice.
Playing through a few tutorials it appears that Pascal Siakam is channeling his inner Game 1 scoring as Draymond Green has no answers for him on the defensive end in defensive drills.
The modern-day NBA has no limits to three-point range and that hasn't run truer than in 2K20 as Thompson can launch bombs from near half court range with ease.
A more detailed review will be posted in the coming days, but initial impressions of 2K20 are overall good and it promises to be a game Nets fans will be pleased to play as their favorite team for the first time in a very long time.
