Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner nominated for Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Haliburton and Turner guided Indiana to a 3-1 record this past week

The NBA announced the winners for the Eastern and Western Conference Player of the Week awards on Monday, and the Indiana Pacers had two finalists for the honor.

Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner, who were both effective for the blue and gold this week as the team went 3-1, were nominees. Ultimately, the honor went to Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, who averaged 36.3 points and 12.5 rebounds per game during the week. His 76ers went 4-0, including a win over the Pacers.

The award was given to the player in each conference who logged the best performances between November 6 and November 12. Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves earned the honor in the West.

Haliburton was terrific, averaging 23.3 points and 12.0 assists per game during the quartet of outings. He had a 17-assist game on Sunday night, which is the most any player has tossed in a game this season.

This is the third week of the NBA season, and Haliburton has been a finalist for the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award in all three weeks. He's been great for the 6-4 Pacers so far this campaign.

This is Turner's first nomination of the season. The big man is currently averaging a career high in points and rebounds per game while shooting 40% from long range. In four outings last week, he averaged 20.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while swatting eight shots and canning 53.8% of his looks.

The Pacers only have two games in the coming week, but they will look to keep winning while Haliburton and Turner guide them.
