NBA Makes Statement on Draymond Green's Ejection

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected again

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected from Wednesday night's vs. the Orlando Magic for what the league has since explained was "egregious profane language" he directed at an official.

In a Pool Report with Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel, Crew Chief Mitchell Ervin said, "After a prolonged diatribe, Green directed egregious profane language towards a game official."

When asked if the timing of the second technical foul was considered before it was handed out, given it came so early in the game, Ervin said, "No, his actions met the standard for a technical foul, which was his second technical foul, which results in an automatic ejection."

Finally, Ervin was asked if Green's history was considered in this instance, and said, "Absolutely not."

Warriors star Steph Curry was visibly emotional after Green's ejection, and said after the game via Anthony Slater of The Athletic, "All I’ll say is we need him. He knows that. We all know that. So whatever it takes for him to be on the floor and available, that’s what’s gotta happen."

The Warriors were able to hold on and win the game, which was a much needed victory. The Houston Rockets continue to apply pressure, but Golden State did well to survive Green's ejection on Wednesday and come away with a big time win on the road.
