Steph Curry’s Status vs. New Orleans Pelicans Revealed

The Golden State Warriors have released their injury report vs. New Orleans

With just two games remaining in the regular season, the Golden State Warriors still have their sights set on a top-eight seed. While it was beginning to look likely that the Warriors would finish in 10th, their play down the stretch of the season, combined with key losses from teams in front of them, has created a path to the eighth seed.

This pursuit of the eighth seed will continue on Friday night when the Warriors face the New Orleans Pelicans. Golden State has released their injury report for this game, and Steph Curry is not listed, meaning he is available to play.

Both the Warriors and Pelicans played on Thursday night, with New Orleans defeating the Sacramento Kings, and the Warriors defeating the Portland Trail Blazers. Both of these games had an impact on the standings, as the Pelicans were able to remain in sixth, while the Warriors pulled into a tie with Sacramento.

The Kings own the tiebreaker over Golden State due to their better record in the Pacific Division, but one more loss from Sacramento would clear the way for Golden State to jump them in the standings. The Warriors would of course have to win their final two games in order for this to be the case, which makes Friday night’s game against New Orleans that much more important.

As previously mentioned, the Pelicans have a lot to play for as well, as they are just one game above the seventh seed Phoenix Suns. This should be an exciting battle between two teams in desperate need of wins.
