Wizards Hoping To Stop Losing Streak In Detroit

Wizards In Detroit For Matinee Special Today

The Wizards have an early bird special today as they are in Detroit to take on the Pistons. The last time they played Detroit, they were without their star guard Cade Cunningham. They are a new team with a new voice now that Wes Unseld Jr has been moved into the front office. How will things play out today in Detroit for the Washington Wizards?

The Bottom Line

This game today has trap written all over it. Somehow, someway, the Pistons are on a bit of a winning streak. Now it is only just a one game winning streak. However, every little bit counts for teams like them and they are hoping to build upon it. They are playing with pride being on the line. While they are statistically the worst team in the league and in the Eastern Conference record wise, they know they were able to beat the Wizards in their last game. With that being the case, they will be playing with a chip on their shoulder. With the Wizards, the name of the game is defense, playing with heart and enthusiasm, and playing together. Hopefully, with Brian Keefe being promoted to interim head coach, that new voice can be the motivation they need to play to their full potential. Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole need to set the tone. Getting positive production from Poole will be extremely beneficial as he has been a huge disappointment thus far this season.
