In the NFL’s constant war of attrition, injuries can decide games, seasons and a whole lot of futures. Here’s who will give it a shot, and who will not, as we head into Week 10 of the 2013 season:

Active

Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Cardinals (toe): Mendenhall stayed on pace throughout the week to play Sunday, and he will indeed take the field. That's potentially bad news for rookie RB Andre Ellington, who played well in Mendenhall's absence.

Mario Manningham, WR, 49ers (knee): Manningham will make his 2013 debut after tearing an ACL last season. We'll have to wait and see how much San Francisco actually uses him in his first game back.

Trent Richardson, RB, Colts (ankle): The Colts draw a struggling Rams run defense on Sunday, so perhaps Richardson finally can deliver a breakout performance for his new team. He will at least get a chance after missing multiple practices this week and being tabbed as "questionable" on the injury report.

Clay Matthews, LB, Packers (thumb): Though Green Bay will be without QB Aaron Rodgers, it does get back the services of Matthews, who has not played since Week 5.

EJ Manuel, QB, Bills (knee): As expected, Manuel is back for the Bills' Week 10 visit to Pittsburgh. He hasn't played since a Week 5, Thursday night loss in Cleveland, with Thaddeus Lewis and Jeff Tuel each jumping onto the field in his absence.

Roddy White, WR, Falcons (ankle, hamstring): The reeling Falcons finally will get a little bit of a boost Sunday, with White's return to the lineup. He had missed three straight games after struggling in Weeks 1 through 5.

Gio Bernard, RB, Bengals (ribs): The Ravens may see more of BenJarvus Green-Ellis on Sunday, but Bernard will be available for Cincinnati. Out of the lineup, however, is tight end Jermaine Gresham (groin).

Jay Cutler, QB, Bears (groin): Cutler has reclaimed his starting job from backup Josh McCown, who led the Bears to a road win in Green Bay last week. Cutler is back under center Sunday, just three weeks after suffering an injury that the Bears said would sideline him for at least a month.

Victor Cruz, WR, Giants (neck): The Giants listed Cruz as probable for this week, so he managed to avoid any setbacks between Friday's practice and Sunday's game. New York will be without running back Brandon Jacobs (knee), leaving Peyton Hillis and Michael Cox to do the heavy lifting in the backfield.

Inactive

Arian Foster, RB, Texans (back): The surprise here isn't that Foster will miss Week 10 -- the Texans ruled him out a couple of days ago. The shock is that Foster reportedly needs season-ending back surgery.

Michael Vick, QB, Eagles (hamstring): Odds are Nick Foles would have started Sunday regardless, off his seven-TD showing last week. But there will be no semblance of a QB controversy in Philadelphia's trip to Green Bay, as Vick will sit again.

Darren McFadden, RB, Raiders (hamstring): McFadden missed practice all week, and the Raiders announced Friday that he would sit out against the Giants. His teammate, rookie CB D.J. Hayden (groin) also is a no-go for Week 10.

Ziggy Ansah, DE, Lions (ankle): Detroit will be without its first-round pick as it shoots for a huge win in Chicago. Fellow rookie Devin Taylor inherited Ansah's starting spot.

Daryl Richardson, RB, Rams (foot):
