Atlanta Falcons rookie left tackle Jake Matthews expects to play Sunday versus the Buccaneers after sitting out Week 2 with a left ankle injury, reports D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Matthews injured his ankle in the first half of the Falcons' opening win over the Saints. An MRI scan on the ankle came up negative.
Report: Saints' RB Ingram expected out for month
The rookie was the No. 6 pick in May's NFL draft.
Atlanta is 1-1 after losing to Cincinnati in Week 2.
