CINCINNATI — The Bengals selected Tee Higgins with the 33rd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The Clemson product grew up idolizing A.J. Green. He outproduced his favorite player this season, which is one of the many reasons why people in Cincinnati are so excited about his future.
Higgins finished with 67 receptions for 908 yards and six touchdowns. His 67 catches tied Cris Collinsworth for the most by a rookie in Bengals' history. He accomplished that feat, despite playing with three different starting quarterbacks.
“It doesn't feel like you're around a rookie," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said last month. "He's had the right focus since day one and just really been fun to watch him, the confidence that he has as he gets through the season. He's made plays against everybody in this league. Just he's got an extremely bright future. His approach is tremendous. Where we got him when we got him in the second round is unbelievable now that you look back on it, but we're lucky to have him.”
Higgins turned 22-years-old on Monday. In honor of his birthday, check out the top plays from his rookie season in the video below.
