Chargers News: Austin Ekeler's TD Snaps Embarrassing Bolts Record

A season to forget for the Bolts.

Your Los Angeles Chargers' 24-7 loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos have more or less eliminated them from playoff contention, but at least they snapped this embarrassing streak:

Here's the touchdown:

Being their first touchdown in seven quarters, it was their longest streak without a touchdown since 2015.

This reflects a broader issue with the offense, as given the injury to Justin Herbert, combined with some serious inconsistency (multiple <20-point games), the Bolts offense is more culpable for their recent losses than their oft-poor defense.

Putting up just 10 against Baltimore, 20 against Green Bay, and 17 against Dallas, a combination of injuries, untimely pocket collapses, and drops, have curtailed this offense's output dramatically.

With Herbert's potential long-term injury, we could see a rough final few weeks of the season before the Bolts likely clean house and rebuild both sides of the ball in the offseason.
